Frosted Film Installation Guide
Frosted window film adds privacy while maintaining natural light. Before application, thoroughly clean the glass to remove dust, residue, and fingerprints.
Spray soapy water on the glass surface, position the film, then use a squeegee to push the water and bubbles towards the edges. Finish by trimming any excess with a clean, precise blade.

Required materials
Clean, dry cloth
Application squeegee (included)
Utility knife
Soapy water spray bottle
1 tbsp dish soap for 4 c. cold water

Maintenance
The film can be cleaned with an ammonia-free solution and a microfiber cloth.
Allow to dry completely after installation.
Prepare the surface
It is essential that the glass is clean, free of dust or residue. Allow to dry completely after cleaning and before installation.
It is also important to thoroughly clean the surface around the glass so that no dust gets between the film and the glass during installation.
Prepare the soapy water solution by mixing 1 tablespoon of dish soap in 4 cups of cold water. Pour the water solution into a spray bottle.
Prepare for installation
It is best to proceed in 2.
One person should firmly hold the film by the top corners in front of them, while their colleague completely removes the back protective film from the adhesive surface. Nothing should come into contact with the sticky surface. The adhesive should face the person removing the protective film.
Spray generously with soapy water onto the adhesive/sticky surface of the film. Then, spray generously onto the surface of the glass.
Once the adhesive surface of the film AND the glass are completely wet, the film application can begin.
Install the film
Place the wet adhesive surface of the frosted film on the glass and slide it into position as desired. It is not recommended to peel the film off the glass to reposition it; this will prevent dust from getting underneath.
Use the application squeegee covered with a cloth to push the water out from under the film towards the edges without damaging it. Press firmly on the squeegee covered with a cloth.
Seams.
For panels wider than 47 inches, the adhesive vinyl is installed by overlapping the right panel 0.5 inches over the left panel. This technique is called Overlap. This overlap will be visible, but a "double-cut" can make it disappear.
The double-cut: with a ruler, cut both panels together right in the center of the overlap. Then remove the first small cut strip from the top, followed by the second from underneath. Your seam will then be invisible.
!!!! Do not press too hard on the utility knife to avoid cutting the glass.
Finish
Press firmly into corners where there is excess film and trim it with an exacto knife.
It is recommended to wait until the film is dry before trimming the excess.
The film can be cleaned with an ammonia-free solution and a microfiber cloth.
