Minimalist, Locally Made Easter Décor Ideas

While looking for items to decorate our own office for spring and Easter, we noticed just how saturated the market is with unnecessary decor pieces, in loud colors, that end up making a space feel cluttered.

So, in collaboration with artist Mélanie Foster, we decided to create wall decals and wallpaper for the season.

Say goodbye to the overdone, kitschy Easter décor of the past, and hello to minimalist pieces in soft pastel tones, made by a Canadian company. In this article, we'll walk you through a few tips for making smarter choices, both aesthetically and ethically.

Choose timeless decorations

A great way to make sure your décor doesn't feel dated after just a few months is to choose timeless pieces. Avoid fleeting colors or trends, or you'll find yourself replacing your decorations every single year.

Here, for example, we love this Vintage Bunnies wallpaper by Mélanie Foster, because it's classic and comes in neutral tones. It looks great year-round, and once Easter rolls around, you can simply dress it up with seasonal flowers or other themed pieces. We also love how versatile it is — just as pretty in a farmhouse-style living room as it is in a child's bedroom.

Choose reusable materials

Another way to build a minimalist (and budget-friendly!) Easter décor is to favour durable, reusable materials.
