Why Ordering a Sample Matters

Picture this: you're in the middle of redecorating your living room, and you've finally decided to put wallpaper up on the wall behind your TV. You browse several websites, compare materials, colors, patterns… Then you make your final choice and place your order.

When the package arrives, what a disappointment… the color isn't quite what you saw on your screen, and the pattern is much smaller than you imagined.

Even though we do everything we can to make sure the images on our website are as accurate as possible, this kind of situation can still happen. Depending on your lighting, the angle you're viewing the mural from, and your screen itself, small differences between the product shown and the actual product can occur.

That's exactly why we always recommend ordering a wallpaper sample first.

Our sample format

We designed a sample format that lets you see both the true scale of the pattern and its actual color. The left side shows the pattern at 100% of its real scale — meaning it will be exactly that size on your wall. The right side shows the pattern at a smaller scale, so you can take in all its colors and finer details.

Test out the different materials

All of our samples are available in every material: smooth or textured vinyl, frosted or colored window film, and canvas. If you're torn between two materials, the best approach is to order two samples, one in each material. That way, you can compare finishes on your surface, under the exact lighting of that room. You'll also be able to handle the material, feel the texture, and even match it against your curtains or throw pillows.
